DESCRIZIONE AZIENDA
We are looking for a Finance Manager for Southern Europe for an important luxury maison.
The South Europe retail zone is based in Milan and covers retail operations for all the stores in 8 countries: Italy, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Greece, Cyprus, Montenegro, and Turkey.
Directly reporting to the Finance Director / CFO, the Finance Manager will have a key role, responsible for the day-to-day running of the Finance function, as well as strategic coordination with the different departments of the organization.
The Finance Manager will have 2 controllers under their direct responsibility and will supervise the relationship with the different accounting back offices in the 8 countries of the zone.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting and Treasury
o Supervise monthly and quarterly accounting closings, according to Group standards.
o Perform regular ad hoc analysis and audits of balance sheet.
o Review statutory accounts and participate in the annual audit.
o Monitor the day-to-day financial operations.
o Review tax returns and statutory compliance requirements.
o Participate in the implementation or enhancement of new accounting systems.
o Review and validate payments throughout the week: external suppliers, payroll, taxes, and intercompany.
o Forecast cash evolution of the different countries, considering local specificities and constraints.
2. Controlling
o Analyze weekly performance of sales through dedicated KPIs.
o Supervise the forecasting of sales in the different periods of the year: Budget, Revised, monthly rolling forecasts.
o Analyze on a monthly basis the performance of each country and cost center against the forecast.
o Follow-up the validated budget with different departments in retail and head-office. Closely monitor costs evolution.
o Elaborate store business plans for store openings or renovations.
o Perform ad hoc business reviews.
PROFILO DEL CANDIDATO IDEALE
Profile Required:
Master’s degree qualified in business or finance, with strong accounting skills (IFRS in particular).
Minimum 7 years of experience in a company with international exposure.
An analytical mind.
Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships.
Commercial and business awareness. Experience in a retail environment is a plus.
Good communication skills – both written and verbal. Proficiency in English is a must.
A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data.
Ability to stick to time constraints.
