The role
We are seeking an organized, experienced, and inspiring Creative Department Manager to oversee operational management within our Creative Department. Reporting to the Chief Creative Officer, This senior leadership role is a dynamic blend of project management, team leadership, resource planning, and creative supervision —this is not a Creative Director role. Your mission is to create the optimal environment for our talented team of creatives—creative directors, art directors, designers, copywriters, and visual artists—to deliver world-class live experiences.
You will proactively nurture the studio’s culture as envisioned by the Chief Creative Officer, continuously refining internal practices and policies to maintain a collaborative, engaging, and stimulating workplace. A strong understanding of creative, production, and operational demands for large-scale events is essential

Your main goal will be to enable our artists and creative professionals to produce exceptional, world-class live shows through effective resource management, precise planning, and proactive team coordination
Key Responsibilities
* Creative/Design Workflow management:
* responsible for managing the operational inner-workings of the Creative/Design Department leading a team of internal Creative Directors, Designers, Art Directors, Creative Coordinator, etc.
* review and assess new projects requests to understand project details, creative ask and deadlines
* oversee the assignation of the internal and external resources to every project, understanding skill set needs and matching resources to best fit project’s needs, in accordance with executive management
* ensure that all creative outputs are delivered on time and in adherence with Company’s qualitative standards
* manage organizational aspects of the creative team, including vacation planning, absences, and day-to-day coordination with HR and the studio producer to ensure smooth internal communication and optimal resource availability.
* coach and mentor junior team members by setting clear objectives, tracking progress, and providing constructive feedback.
* liaise closely with CCO, HR and Head of Productions to identify staffing needs and recruitment strategies, ensuring a steady pipeline of high-caliber talent to continuously enhance the department.
* Internal coordination:
* bridge communication and efficient work processes between Creative/Design, Production, and Business teams
* run weekly resource meetings and facilitate capacity issues/conflict resolution with teams and appropriate department heads
* maintain up-to-date awareness of current and upcoming projects and new business initiatives.
* Creative/Design Team Management:
* lead recruitment, hiring, development, and retention of internal and freelance creatives, managing performance effectively.
* mentor junior team members through clear objectives, ongoing feedback, and professional development.
* partner closely with HR, CCO, and Head of Productions to proactively address staffing needs.
* Talents & Tech R&D:
* build and maintain a robust network of creative talent.
* act as first point of contact with all creative talents, ensuring that they are set up correctly and have the necessary tools and understanding of the assignment
* monitor and evaluate talents performances, taking input from other team members to ensure they are meeting role standards
* continue to evolve and challenge the creative vision, setting the expectation at the highest level to ensure creative direction is retained and in line with BWS quality standard and values
* encourage the process of sharing and cross-fertilization between team members and units
* drive, encourage & nurture conceptual, visual, technological and talent research
* ensure the correct and timely archiving of all R&D materials
* Creative/Design Development Supervision:
* is directly responsible for the overall creative delivery of all projects developed by the Show & Ceremonies Unit and/or involving directly the executive management
* ensure that creative deliveries are aligned with executive management guidelines and with company’s and clients’ strategic goals
Requirements
Experience & Background
* 5+ years in studio, production, or creative operations management—preferably within live entertainment, advertising, post-production, or VFX.
* Proven experience in overseeing complex creative workflows and managing multidisciplinary teams.
* A track record of delivering high-quality work on tight deadlines.
Skills & Competencies
* Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
* Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution capabilities.
* High emotional intelligence and a collaborative spirit.
* Proficient in Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote, AI Tools.
* Comfortable with digital tools such as Airtable, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
* Proactive, efficient, and detail-oriented and committed to process optimization.
* Passionate about live performance, entertainment, fashion and contemporary culture.
* Willingness to work long hours when necessary to meet project demands
* Passionate about process optimization, contributing to the development of efficient workflows and best practices.

* Willingness to travel for short to medium periods
Fluent in English and Italian (or willingness to learn Italian is strongly preferred)
This is a full-time, in-office position based in Milan.
