Position Overview:
The VP Product & Vertical Marketing is a new role that will lead a new team within a fast-growing enterprise software company, Centric Software.
This role marries classic Product Marketing responsibilities also cross-referencing by industry/vertical and bridges product marketing with product go-to-market.
You will expand a team of 3 to 6 people and lead in championing each of our 5 product lines, covering 5 different verticals, including product messaging, competitive analysis and differentiation, value proposition, product launches and liaising with our R&D teams as well as being responsible for product go-to-market activities and collaterals such as TAM studies, sales enablement tools, customer testimonials & case studies, marketing partnerships, campaign asset (handed off to field marketing for deployment), website/SEO content and more. This role also takes the lead on tech analyst relations. If you have done this before, you know the drill.
The marketing team today is primarily a lead gen house and we strongly believe that we are under-selling and under-positioning our solution thus, the creation of this role and this team.
You will of course work in partnership with the rest of the marketing organization (field marketing, digital team, corporate content, CMO, etc) and the rest of the company (R&D, pre & post sales, sales and customers).
Centric Software is a Silicon Valley based software company undergoing high growth. Team members are based in 2 dozen countries.
The marketing team is 70+ FT people and we work with approximately 200 contractors. We are high performant; we are all doers and you are too.
Key Responsibilities:
* Pilot product/vertical marketing strategy and methodology as this is a new team in our organization.
* Develop and maintain value prop, key messages and foundation assets; evolve as our solutions evolve (which is fast).
* Develop and maintain all solution-based marketing & sales enablement assets.
* Be customer focused: a strong emphasis on developing use cases, testimonials and staying close to the market.
* Potentially speak at webinars and key events, championing solutions and the company.
* Conduct competitive and market research.
* Work with all sales teams including CST, strategic accounts and enterprise teams.
* Relay market and customer feedback and knowledge to R&D/product teams as well as the rest of the marketing team and organization as a whole.
* Be the key point of contact for tech analysts, reacting quickly when needed but, more importantly, taking a pro-active role to develop relationships with new analysts as our solution scope grows.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, business administration or a related field.
* Experience in PLM, retail planning, AI solutions or Competitive Market Intelligence solutions is a plus.
* Knowledge of retail & the fashion industry is also helpful.
* 10+ years of experience in product marketing or related leadership roles, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment.
* Proven success managing cross-functional global teams and large-scale digital ecosystems.
* Proactive approach to navigating ambiguity, addressing challenges with innovative solutions and maintaining focus on achieving results in a fast dynamic environment.
* Proven ability to scale operations across multiple regions and languages.
* Advanced analytics skills to measure performance, optimize strategies and inform decision-making.
* Exceptional ability to mentor and inspire teams, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
Compensation Model: This position offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary and a performance-based bonus structure. Your efforts in enhancing lead generation through Product Marketing operations will be a key factor in determining your performance-based bonus.
