What you’ll be doing...
The Reveal platform includes a responsive web application and several native mobile applications as well as the hardware devices that power our software. Reveal enables our customers to track their vehicles and equipment in real time - lots of companies talk about the Internet of Things, we’ve been building it for years.
As a UX Designer assigned to a cross-functional team, you will collaborate closely with your colleagues in Product, Engineering, Hardware, Data Science and more to ship world-class experiences. You will partner with designers in other UX disciplines including UI, Service Design, Content and Research and together you will tackle problems and create solutions which deliver real value to our customers.
You will be part of an extensive mentorship network, coached not only by your manager but by multiple talented, experienced folk who will inspire you to do your best work and help you to progress in your career.
* You’ll be the voice of the user on your team, ensuring that the products we deliver solve the right problems for our users in the right ways.
* You’ll work with the Product and Research teams to build a strong understanding of your area of the product, the job it does for our users and how it is used.
* You’ll plan and facilitate workshops to involve your cross-functional team in the design process.
* You’ll deliver finished, well-documented designs to your engineers in good time.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
* A number of years relevant experience as a UX Designer in a software product team.
* Excellent visual and interaction design skills and a strong sense of process in your design work.
* Strong collaboration skills, whether with other designers or with product and engineering professionals on an integrated team.
* Experience of designing for both web and mobile applications.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Own a portfolio which tells your story, and showcases your capabilities and your process.
* Based in Italy or you are willing to relocate.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
* A strong ability in UI design. It’s not essential for this role but it’s always a plus.
* Experience in Lean UX or working on an agile team.
* A good understanding of UX research techniques.
If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.
