For a European institution in Brussels, Belgium, we are looking for an Enterprise Java Architect - Relocation to Brussels.
Candidates need to be based in Belgium or willing to relocate to Brussels when coming from abroad.
Candidates need to be fluent in English. A work permit is required, but not provided. This position is open for contractors.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Manage the implementation of information systems to meet identified business needs, acquiring and using the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality;
2. Prepare and maintain project and quality plans, tracking activities against the plan and providing regular and accurate reports;
3. Manage the change control procedure, gaining agreement for revisions to the project from project sponsors;
4. Create, maintain, prioritize, and sequence the product backlog based on business value and return on investment;
5. Participate in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with users;
6. Collaborate with Business Owners and Users to collect requirements and use cases;
7. Analyze and develop the integration of different information systems;
8. Create business architecture models that align with the organization’s strategies and goals;
9. Provide guidance on business architecture and systems processing;
10. Produce software architecture documentation;
Profile:
1. Master’s Degree in IT;
2. +13 years of experience in IT;
3. Good knowledge of project management standards and methodologies such as PM2 and Agile;
4. Solid knowledge and understanding of Business analysis and functional analysis;
5. Proficiency in Business Process Modeling and UML;
6. Strong knowledge of secure application design and development;
7. Experience with Java tools and frameworks: Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Hibernate;
8. Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Web services (WSDL, SOAP, REST, etc.);
9. Familiarity with Front-end frameworks: Grails, Angular, JQuery, Bootstrap or similar;
10. Experience with Continuous integration: Jenkins, Hudson, Maven, Bamboo, Fisheye, Crucible, JUnit or similar;
11. Fluent in English;
