About this opportunity
Professional Project Manager responsible for the delivery of project management services for data centres construction projects within Mechanical and Electrical disciplines.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives.
* Delivering high-quality services and ensuring that project management deliverables meet Customers’ requirements and business procedures.
* Administrating contracts as Contract Administrator, Employer’s Agent or Project Manager.
* Building a network of vendors, MEP contractors and consultants.
* Participating in development and implementation of procurement and delivery strategy for the MEP deliverable.
* Ensuring the quality and compliance of the MEP design, procurement, installation, and commissioning, in accordance with the project specifications, budget, and schedule.
* Working closely with vendors to ensure on-time delivery and installation of project critical plant and equipment.
* Undertaking a full design review of drawings, specifications, and schedules for accuracy and completeness of design.
* Monitoring and controlling the progress of procurement, delivery, and commissioning on-site.
* Taking regular site walks to promote and observe safety and progress, report and track any corrective actions through to timely completion.
* Monitoring on- and off-site works, recording and reporting non-conforming work and driving the team for follow-up, preventative and close-out actions.
* Ensuring that MEP installation is fully coordinated and optimised to eliminate wasteful activity on site.
* Preparing and monitoring technical submissions.
* Assisting in the change management process, the review and assessment of proposed variations in the works and of any actual or anticipated delays to the progress of the works.
* Working with the appointed general contractor to ensure that appropriate method statements are in place and signed off by the relevant parties in advance of installation.
* Leading and mentoring employees to their full potential.
* Preparing bids for services.
* Managing service delivery for profit.
* Advising Directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or that might arise, on projects; in particular those that might impact on Gleeds professional indemnity (PI) insurance.

About You
Who we’re looking for:
Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills
* 5+ years of experience in Data Center facility maintenance, operation and/or commissioning.
* Sound knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment and engineering specifications relating to Data Centers.
* Knowledge of industry standards.
* Experience managing the procurement of critical mechanical and electrical equipment on large-scale construction projects (contracts of €100M+).
* Excellent communication skills - both oral and written.
* Methodical way of thinking and approach to work.
* Excellent problem solving, negotiating, financial and numeracy skills.
* Sound ICT skills, with a high proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Fluency in English.
* National mobility.
Qualifications
* Engineering degree - mechanical or electrical engineering.
