1. Lead Generation & Prospecting:
1. Identify and research potential clients within the target market.
2. Develop and maintain a customer database and deliver compelling sales pitches to prospective customers.
2. Sales Activities:
1. Conduct outbound sales calls and emails to potential clients.
2. Schedule and conduct virtual meetings to present freight forwarding services.
3. Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients.
4. Collaborate with the sales team to optimize customer engagement.
3. Client Relationship Management:
1. Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
2. Understand client needs and address inquiries promptly.
3. Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and address any issues.
4. Coordination & Collaboration:
1. Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless order processing and fulfillment.
2. Liaise with carriers and other service providers to secure space and rates.
5. Reporting & Analysis:
1. Track and report sales activities, pipeline status, and performance metrics.
2. Provide regular updates on progress and challenges.
3. Analyze market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in the industry.
Your Key Qualifications
1. Proven experience in ocean freight operations as a fundamental of customer service and pricing tasks.
2. Proven experience in sales in the logistics industry.
3. Proficiency in using CRM and TMS software and other relevant tools.
4. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Knowledge of freight forwarding operations and supply chain management.
7. Excellent communication skills when it comes to handling customers and a good command of English and Italian.
