We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Pastry Commis for Borgo Santo Pietro, an award-winning five-star luxury boutique hotel located in the heart of Tuscan countryside, surrounded by a 300-acre organic farm, vineyards and wonderful gardens for our main Restaurant Trattoria and our Michelin Star Restaurant Saporium, Chiusdino.The individual is passionate about creating bespoke and delectable desserts and pastries and committed to being part of a driven team that is aiming to achieve quality and high standards in the kitchen.Main responsibilities: Ensure that daily food preparations meet outlined recipes including portion size, quantity and quality.Perform basic cleaning duties and ensuring that workstations are properly sanitized.Plate and present dessert items as per the Pastry Chef’s instructions.Take inventory of restaurant supplies and notifying the supervisor of low or depleted supplies.Receive deliveries and verifying that all ordered items are received and are excellent quality.Assist the Pastry Chef in the creation of desserts, afternoon tea, petits-fours and breads.Adhere to company procedures in regards to temperature checks, food labelling and dating, cleaning schedules and hygiene regulations at all times ensuring that all records of such are maintained.Candidate profile:Previous experience in a similar role in luxury hotels is an asset.Diploma or certification in pastry is required.English fluency is considered as a plus.HACCP certificate holder.Knowledge of food health and safety regulations is required.The ability to work under pressure.Excellent organizational skills.Effective communication skills.Details of the offer:Full time, seasonal contractLocation: Chiusdino (SI), ItalyPeriod: spring 2025 – autumn 2025We offer a competitive package, food and accommodation included.
