The Lead Control System Engineer is the String Test focal contact for all control system operations activity related to testing of the assigned string test packages.
He/She drives safety, quality, and on-time delivery for all operations (mechanical, electrical) related to test bench preparation, functional test, loop check, test execution, and test bench disassembly.
In this role, He/She acts as coordinator of external suppliers that perform activities on the test bench.
He/She is also responsible for troubleshooting and prompt non-conformity resolution while maintaining connection with partner functions/departments such as product engineering, assembly, and packaging manufacturing cell.
In this mission, He/She is also responsible for driving #Safety and #Quality culture among the partner suppliers that concurrently work on the test bench.
As Lead Control System Engineer, you will be responsible for:
* Driving the string test operation according to production planning timeline
* Supervising all activities performed by external suppliers such as assembly, loop check, electrical wiring, software calibration, and electrical work
* Providing technical direction on non-conformities while maintaining connection with partner functions: engineering and manufacturing
* Drafting and archiving operation quality/safety reports and checklists related to ongoing field operations
* Ensuring that safety standards are maintained and respected by all personnel working in the assigned field
* Verifying that project budget is aligned with operation expenses and adjusting operation plans to minimize costs
* Assuring that Lessons Learned are captured and applied during operations.

To be successful in this role, you will:
* Have a degree in Electrical Engineering or demonstrated work experience in the field
* Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills
* Show ability to manage and oversee multiple projects/activities with high intensity
* Show ability to plan and lead cross-functional programs
* Be an experienced problem solver, with an analytical approach to identifying root causes and implementing improvement solutions
* Display good knowledge of Turbomachinery System architecture, control software, and commissioning operations
* Be fluent in English and Italian and be able to work in the EU.
