We’re hiring on behalf of a growing and ambitious technology company at the forefront of automotive innovation – from electric vehicles to autonomous systems and robotics. They’re looking to bring on a Senior Functional Safety Engineer to support both existing and new customers from their Milan base.
You’ll be part of a cross-functional, international team working on high-impact projects, helping to define and deliver safety solutions for cutting-edge semiconductor technologies.
What you’ll be doing:
* Define, verify, and test safety requirements derived from higher-level system needs
* Develop chip-level safety architecture aligned with ISO 26262
* Conduct safety analyses – DFMEA, FMEDA, FTA, DFA, SW-FMEA
* Lead verification and validation of safety functions
* Prepare high-quality safety documentation (e.g. Safety Manuals, Application Notes)
* Support internal reviews and customer-facing meetings
* Engage with safety assessors and contribute to formal reviews
What we’re looking for:
* Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering or similar
* Existing experience in Functional Safety Engineering, ideally in automotive or semiconductor sectors
* Deep knowledge of ISO 26262 and safety analysis techniques
* Experience working with semiconductor technologies
* Strong written and spoken English (Italian is a plus, but not essential)
