Due to a notable period of growth, we will be expanding our team and will be recruiting new team members to join us in the area of project sales.
The VELUX Group has embarked on a promising new journey with the aim of bringing even greater value to our B2B customers and end-users. We intend to transform spaces by adding daylight and fresh air designs into different building projects. By advising and guiding our partners virtually and personally on VELUX opportunities and designs, we will contribute to shaping their dream project and act as their preferred sparring partner from initial thought until final installation.
Your responsibilities
Joining VELUX, you will be part of a committed and highly skilled team focused on remotely selling solutions to our ecosystem partners. Your core goal will be focused on identifying projects early and communicating to professional partners how our solutions create desirable and healthy living environments, while also being attractive for our partners to promote. You will be working closely with the project sales team in the field.
As our new Inside Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for building up the project pipeline across sales regions. You will deliver high-quality interactions by phone, email, and virtual meetings. Based on market insights and dialogue with the partners, you will identify and qualify the relevant projects for our Project Development Managers – thereby contributing to sales for the VELUX Group.
More specifically, you will:
* Qualify leads from external databases and from intranet channels to real opportunities.
* Listen and gather information from partners to understand their design needs and key drivers of their project(s).
* Ensure holistic understanding of the project, e.g., construction requirements, visual and aesthetic desires, functional needs, budget, and economics, and how far the project is in the building process.
* Provide relevant product and service information to simplify their building process.
* Be the link with internal VELUX departments to support your field sales colleagues and potential customers in the best possible way.
* Manage and develop a portfolio of projects through remote project follow-ups.
About you

By leveraging your curiosity and utilizing your good communication skills and ability to involve, listen, understand, and level yourself with your partners, you skillfully tap into needs and utilize your technical insight to build up the projects and identify where in the building stages the projects are to hand over promising projects to the Project Development Managers – all done via phone and virtual meetings.
You thrive in a lively environment and understand that the role requires being an engaging teammate who can work cross-functionally and appreciate interacting with people to deliver positive experiences for our partners. You are proficient in providing service, you quickly establish rapport with people, and your demeanor instills trust and confidence. You consistently propose, recommend, and guide the way, but you understand that to be effective, you will be an even stronger listener.
With your structured approach and attention to details, you never lose sight of a project. You know follow-up is key to fulfilling commitments, thus meeting deadlines and delivering what has been agreed with the partner is of paramount importance to you.
Furthermore, you:
* Have experience from a field sales role or already from an inside sales department.
* Experience from the building sector, especially from the planning period, would be beneficial.
* Can maintain a high level of productivity and work efficiently in an engaging, collaborative, and team-oriented environment.
* Can quickly understand partner needs and match them with suitable value propositions and solutions.
* Understand that our products act as facilitators for creating life-changing living environments.
* Can collaborate cross-functionally with other sales teams, marketing, and IT.
* Have a keen attention to details and structure, setting your team up for scaling.
* Have solid IT skills and experience in among others the Microsoft Office package, CRM, and ERP systems.
