About the Role:
You will join the DC Operations team as a DC IT/RUN maintenance Technician, reporting to the Datacenter Manager. Your role will ensure the proper functioning of data center infrastructure by securing equipment installation and maintenance, guaranteeing continuity of service.
This position requires working on-call on a rotational basis.
Responsibilities:
1. Contribute to datacenter systems architecture and provide 1st level of support
2. Optimize racks for new servers
3. Connect power and network cables within server and network racks
4. Wire incoming cables and network within the racks, adhering to wiring scheme
5. Install or uninstall servers as required by the DC Team Leader, in accordance with the operational plan
6. Assemble and install computer hardware (assemble/install/upgrade/update servers)
7. Adequately adhere to health and safety rules and regulatory requirements
8. Escalate incident tickets to Level 2 support where necessary
9. Complete interventions on equipment in response to monitoring alerts or customer tickets
10. Upgrade servers (change obsolete components)
11. Undertake curative maintenance on delivered servers
12. Troubleshoot technical issues using various tools: network, servers
13. Perform regular established maintenance procedures
14. Understand and maintain cabling systems
15. Replace failed networking devices within racks
16. Implement actions to resolve problems related to the server environment
17. Ensure servers are functioning properly via analysis and monitoring
18. For all these actions, use the right tools and keep asset databases up to date: stock, assets, status, actions, etc…
19. Manage and resolve system failures quickly
20. Assist team members with other relevant maintenance tasks within the Datacenter
21. Coordinate activity with all 24/7 teams and help improve customer relations
22. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the department, meeting the requirements set out in the quality management system
23. Help maintain good customer relations and customer satisfaction on a daily basis
24. Ensure information is shared between maintenance agents and provide reports to the Team Leader
25. Respect the schedule and targets set by the Team Leader
We are looking for a candidate with a high school diploma or equivalent qualification in electronics/IT/Maintenance and at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
