Your role
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager (PM) to lead the development and execution of wearable electronic products from concept to launch. The PM will work cross-functionally with engineering, product management and marketing, design, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to drive program success while balancing technical feasibility, cost, and time-to-market constraints. The ideal candidate has a strong background in hardware and software integration, program management, and consumer electronics, with a passion for wearable technology and a proven track record of delivering products.
Main responsibilities:
1. Program Leadership: Drive the end-to-end development of wearable electronic products, ensuring alignment with business goals, technical requirements, and customer needs.
2. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with hardware, firmware, software, UX, and manufacturing teams to define product architecture, design milestones, and risk mitigation strategies.
3. Project Planning & Execution: Develop detailed project plans, track deliverables, manage dependencies, and proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks.
4. Risk Management: Identify potential technical and operational risks, develop contingency plans, and escalate issues when necessary.
5. Supplier & Vendor Management: Coordinate with external suppliers, design partners, and component vendors to ensure on-time delivery of key product components. Drive alignment internally on design partner contract terms and facilitate sign off of contracts.
6. Quality & Compliance: Ensure that products meet regulatory, safety, and performance standards while maintaining a high-quality user experience.
7. Process Optimization: Contribute to improved program management frameworks, development cycles, and collaboration tools to enhance efficiency and scalability.
8. Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates to executives, engineering teams, and other stakeholders on project status, challenges, and mitigation plans.
Main requirements:
1. 5+ years of program management experience in wearable electronics, consumer electronics, IoT devices, or related industries.
2. Proven track record of leading teams to deliver products to market.
3. Technical background in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, embedded systems, or a related field is highly preferred.
4. Strong knowledge of hardware-software integration, sensor technology, wireless communication (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi), and power management.
5. Experience with agile development methodologies, product lifecycle management (PLM), and manufacturing processes.
6. Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
7. Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
8. PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent program management certification is a plus.
9. Experience with health and fitness wearables, medical devices, or biometric sensors.
10. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle ambiguity.
11. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
12. Proficiency in program management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Azure Dev Ops, Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, Asana, or similar).
13. Experience working with contract manufacturers and global supply chains is a plus.
