Application Development Engineer page is loaded Application Development Engineer Apply locations JP Ohta time type Full time posted on Posted Yesterday job requisition id R8103 Job Title: Application Development Engineer Summary: ・Active work for laboratory jobs of polyurethane foaming, chemical synthesis, and analysis support in support of the Urethane Additives business unit. ・Planning and execution of daily laboratory jobs according to tasks for making laboratory data through the discussion with sales & customers. ・Clear communication and reporting of laboratory activities internally and externally.(Having English skill may be required for daily job.) ・Interface with and assist MPM’s customers in Japan, Asia, and translate unmet customer needs into technical requirements. ・Collaborate with cross-functional teams including global R&D, Sales, Marketing, Application Development Engineer (ADE), Product Management, Quality, and Operations. ・Effectively manage planning, execution, and alignment of multiple projects from inception for laboratory works. ・EHS; to Manage and maintain the PU laboratory site fully in compliant with applicable laws, regulations and external certification requirements. Responsibilities Include: Application development Making new technical data for existing/new products and support sales/marketing from technical end. Plan and execute detailed programs agreed upon with line manager Collaborate with Commercial team to collect the voice of customers (VOCs) Prepare samples for customers and collect their feedback Provide technical support and respond to inquiries from customers under guidance Discusses and communicates project results both verbally and in a written report with line manager Support material code in company systems introducing with related tasks to Japan under guidance. Basic understanding of specific patents related to project. Contributes to generation of new ideas. Safety, Continuous Improvement and Others Be aware of laboratory safety policies and follow safe practices with guidance. Additional tasks related to EHS will be requested. Qualifications: The following are required for the role Bachelor or Associate bachelor degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science. Experience laboratory working. Self-motivated individual with high level of job curiosity Basic understanding and experiences in using computer programs including MS Office and or related statistical software Preferably, familiarity with Polyurethane technology Preferably, intermediate communication skill in English (oral and written), TOEIC : 600-700 or equivalent. Strong EHS and safety ethics, drive excellent housekeeping standards in work areas. Strong teamwork, ability to lead and/or provide support work in a cross-functional team environment with strong inclusive communication, transparency, and collaboration.
