POSITION SUMMARY :
The
Business Development Manager
is responsible for leading, developing and penetrating the Minimally Invasive Surgical Technique (MIST) BPH market within Italy and achieve defined targets. This role requires focus on both the sales and supporting regional marketing aspects of the local business.
The assigned territory will include Center-South Italy, islands included, with preferably residence in Lazio Region. Priority is given to: Tuscany, Lazio, Sardegna, Puglia & Sicily.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS :
To retain and develop the KOLs and customers’ network. Effectively manage the product portfolio to drive revenue. To maintain a positive and dynamic teamwork. Ensure the division operates ethically and in line with local regulation. Ensure Teleflex and its products is seen as a key provider within the Urology and adjacent clinical and customer communities.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES : Description of major duties and responsibilities of the role.
Manage, maintain, and expand accounts in the assigned area, developing and executing the annual business plan that outlines territory objectives and areas of vulnerability. Develop, direct, manage, and support practice and patient awareness program deliverables, enhancing UroLift® awareness and adoption through effective communication of the Teleflex value proposition. Educate and train physicians, surgeons, hospital personnel and office staff on technical matters relating to UroLift® Coordinate and support cases in OR for UroLift® Manage all associated administrative tasks related to tenders and rdo (pricing, technical and clinical documentation) Attend and actively participate in industry related training/ meetings/ events for business development opportunities Build and maintain relationships with key customers and KOLs within the region, collaborating with the Market Developer Manager to prioritize customers for higher-level corporate relationships. Ensure strict compliance with company goals and objectives, policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and FDA and MDR regulations while maintaining a professional and credible image with key stakeholders. Partner with Customer Service to meet and exceed customer expectations, providing support in resolving product complaints and safety issues. Conduct market analyses and monitor competitive developments to inform strategic decisions and actions. Work with the Sales team, Marketing, CMA functions to identify and target new areas from growth and business development. Manage the Distributors/Sales Agents in the assigned territory. Adhere to, and ensure adherence to the Core Values, create and maintain a positive and dynamic team environment.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS : Minimum level of education/experience required.
Educated to minimum degree level in a life science and/or a business field, or appropriate industry experience (min 5 years). Exhibits strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills. Good knowledge of English is mandatory. Thorough knowledge of Urology, strong relationships with urologists, and an understanding of BPH treatment algorithms and prostate health Strong understanding of the hospital commercial process, including operating room or therapeutic delivery experience, and managing the business case process Proven success in launching new technologies, exceeding sales targets, and previous cold calling experience. Strong analytical, written/verbal communication, interpersonal, and negotiating skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently. Use of Microsoft Office Suite and use of CRM system such as Sales Force Valid driver’s license (category B)
