The environment is young, energetic and fun!ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain bioinformatics workflows to process germline and somatic whole-genome and targeted sequencing data;Implement reproducible and robust computational DNA-Seq based pipelines for secondary data analysis (from Fastq to VCF) and tertiary data analysis (from VCF to final interpretation);Implement analysis for other sequencing applications or novel technologies;Constantly optimize computational workflows and maximize cost-effectiveness;Customer support.RequirementsMS or PhD in Computational Science, Bioinformatics or equivalent;+2 years’ experience in analysis of high-throughput sequencing data and setting up their computational workflows based on workflow languages (i.e. Cosmos, Nextflow) and software containers (i.e. singularity, dockers);Proficient in Python, bash scripting, Linux environmentExcellent computational skills, particularly regarding High-Performance Computing;Experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services) is a plus;High degree of analytical and organizational skills;Strong communication (verbal and written), presentation and interpersonal skills. Fluent in English and Italian;Willingness and ability to take on additional responsibilities and undertake challenging tasks and/or projects;Strong leadership skills and proactivity with clear understanding of the balance of innovation, smart risks and timely project delivery.Work detailsSalary will depend on qualification and experience.
