As General Manager, Italy, the primary responsibility for this role is to be in charge of the business performance at the country level, achieve profitability objectives, and deliver plans while sustaining high levels of customer satisfaction and growing the business in line with the Regional Business strategies.
Role is multifaceted, requiring a blend of strategic planning, leadership, and operational management to ensure the company's goals are aligned with local market conditions.
How you will do it:
* Serves as an active member of the European leadership team, providing area-specific performance information in an accurate and timely fashion and working with other leaders to share resources and approaches as needed to maximize revenues and profitability.
* Grows the business by setting and managing an overall country sales strategy, building a climate of Sales Excellence characterized by a highly professional sales force across the branches.
* Oversees country financial management following the policies and standards of Gunnebo, creating long-term viability for the country.
* Drives implementation of the country strategic direction within the dedicated geographical area, focusing on developing After sales strategy and building service organization.
* Translates strategic priorities into results and drives operational discipline across the organization.
* Drives and builds a high-performance culture across the functional leadership team.
* Manages country assets across the branches (people, financial, material) in a manner that meets or exceeds profitability goals.
* Leads, develops, and coaches the country operational, sales, and functional management team to deliver the business plan.
* Develops and ensures high-performing local leadership through quality staffing and performance management.
* Builds key relationships with owners, contractors, consultants, and maintains key accounts relationships.
* Establishes collaborative relationships across the countries in Europe and the wider regional Gunnebo business.
* Acts as a legal manager of the country business entities and represents the company with major customers, suppliers, and authorities.
* Any other duties as arranged by the supervisor.
What we look for:
* University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Demonstrable experience of working within a manufacturing background.
* 10+ years of experience, with prior experience in growing market share, maximizing revenue, and profitability.
* Proven background in defining the local strategic direction based on the overall business strategy.
* Experience in building after-sales and service growth strategies, including inorganic growth.
* Ability to lead the daily operations of a country as defined by the size of P&L responsibility.
* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
* Able to build a strong management team and create a culture of accountability.
* Build a climate that energizes team members to exceed performance targets.
