The travel industry is dominated by OTAs that impose high fees and restrictive rules, draining margins frombusinesses and limiting benefits for travelers. Accommodation providers lose control, while travelers are denied thebest deals. There’s a better way: direct booking. But why isn’t it the norm? Because the system is fragmented. Businesses operate in silos, disconnected from each other by outdated tools, systems, and marketing strategies. They can’t compete with the seamless user experiences and global reach of centralized platforms.
Takyon is here to change that. We’re not building another platform. We’re creating the technology that form the foundation of a new unifiedecosystem for direct bookings, one that didn’t exist before. A system where service providers and users are directlyconnected, eliminating middlemen and making direct booking more than just possible - they’re inevitable. We’re looking for a driven and ambitious Business Development Manager to take the lead on our B2B commercial operations.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working across the entire sales funnel - from prospecting to closing to long-term account management - and is excited by the opportunity to have a tangible impact from day one.
You’ll be responsible for driving hotel acquisition, developing partnerships, and ensuring existing clients extract maximum value from our solution. You’ll work closely with the CEO and coordinate a growing team, with the goal of scaling our B2B presence across new and existing markets. Must
Full fluency in Italian and English
3–5 years’ experience in sales or business development with solid track record in B2B sales (from outreach to closing and client retention)
Previous experience in the hospitality industry (e.g. hotels, PMS, channel managers, OTAs)
Strong communicator, confident with C-level conversations
Proactive, hands-on, and comfortable owning targets
Familiar with CRM tools (Hubspot, etc.)
Should
Data-driven mindset: ability to analyze metrics and optimize sales performance
Strong organizational and execution skills
Experience working cross-functionally with product, ops, and marketing
Nice
Experience mentoring or managing junior teammates
Familiarity with pricing models or tech-enabled commercial negotiations
