Develop and refine standard designs for low to medium-complexity equipment, systems, or installations. Ensure compliance with standard manufacturing, fabrication, or construction specifications while applying established design principles.
The Mechanical Designer plays a vital role in fostering innovation and driving the growth of the COMEM organization.
Key responsibilities include:
* Engineering design: Create engineering solutions, including drawings, bill of materials, and calculations, aligned with specifications. Modify designs as required to meet project needs.
* Design verification: Participate in design reviews and verification processes, making necessary adjustments to ensure quality and functionality.
* Testing: Define test plans and perform necessary mechanical and electrical tests in internal or external labs to validate design performance.
* Innovation and R&D: Contribute innovative ideas to R&D projects and propose follow-up initiatives within your area of expertise.
* Collaboration: Attend project meetings and present specific design aspects. Actively participate in team efforts, share technical knowledge, and support colleagues in delivering high-quality results.
Educational requirements:
* Diploma or degree in mechanics or a related field
* Relevant certifications (e.g., CAD, SolidWorks, or similar software) are a plus
Experience:
* 2–5 years of experience in mechanical design or a similar field
* Familiarity with manufacturing processes
Technical skills:
* Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CREO).
* Knowledge of mechanical testing methods and tools
* Understanding of design standards and compliance requirements
* Experience in creating technical documentation, including drawings and bills of materials
