Position Overview
As part of the expansion of our JK3 program to a full-day model, GNS is seeking a dedicated and passionate JK3 Assistant / Teacher to join our Early Learning team. In this unique dual-role position, the successful candidate will serve as a JK Assistant in the morning and transition to the JK Lead Teacher in the afternoon. With a blended approach that incorporates Montessori principles and elements of the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the JK3 Assistant / Teacher will play a key role in fostering curiosity, independence, and foundational skills that prepare students for a seamless transition into our JK4 programme.
What You’ll Bring
Candidates must have ECE certification and knowledge of current educational trends in an early years setting. Additional Infant/toddler certification is preferred, and experience with Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Nature School, or the IB Primary Years Programme would be an asset. You will have a strong knowledge of inquiry-based learning approaches, possess a passion for innovation and creativity, and be highly reflective and committed to continuous professional growth and improvement.

The JK Program coincides with the academic calendar and therefore, enjoys time off during the summer and other school breaks. Compensation is determined by teaching experience and grid placement but ranges from $51,822 – $55,799.
