The Relationship Analyst will be part of the Corporate Banking Team based in Milan.
The Relationship Analyst is responsible for working with Senior Bankers and coverage team members on the day-to-day management of the Italian Franchise Corporate Banking client relationships and the delivery of Corporate Banking solutions for Corporate and FI Clients.
The Relationship Analyst plays a critical role in coordinating across functions and businesses to deliver Citi’s global network and solutions to clients and to address a broad range of relationship management requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Support Corporate Banking team in Italy with the coordination and execution of day-to-day Italian Corporate and FI Client requests. These include: credit requests, product related requests, KYC matters, AML queries, problem escalation, information about the Citi global network’s capabilities, new onboarding requests, etc.
* Support Corporate Banking team in Italy with the coordination and execution of day-to-day credit requests from Network/Product partners. Close coordination with CRMS and the Documentation Unit for credit line set up and availment, ensuring that approvals obtained are in line with requirements under the Risk Policy.
* Prepare facility, exposure and relationship data as requested by bankers. At annual review time, co-ordinate with the network to review global facilities and help with recommendations for potential changes/reductions.
* Liaise with client Treasury Team to affirm Head Office support for any new credit requests, ensuring required support documentation (i.e. Guarantees; Letter of Comfort) are lodged as appropriate and that all requirements under Citi’s support policy are met.
* Act as the key point person for routine credit queries, negotiate routine and support credit documentation, escalate problems, and identify solutions to client issues; plays a key role in driving customer satisfaction.
* Engage and collaborate with network and Product partners to identify opportunities; ensures products and services are executed properly for clients.
* Prepare presentations for support policy discussions with clients; ensures designee approvals and deferrals are in place and discussion is lodged in the credit system.
* Support the negotiation of credit documentation requirements.
* Prepare information for client presentations and relationship reviews (network, credit, facility, relationship highlights, etc.)
* Assist Bankers in the co-ordination of ad-hoc regulatory/data review exercises, and help with data clean-up exercises, making the necessary facility adjustments where appropriate.
* Work closely with Product Partners, network, CRMS to ensure timely resolution of data exceptions (facility excess or unmatched transactions).
* Ensure client portfolio has correct marketing hierarchy and legal structure reported in the appropriate systems and assists in maintenance of same.
* Work in partnership with multiple Products team and provide relevant support, and drive completion of projects.
* Lead product onboarding and maintenance opening for Banker Solo designated clients (e.g. input CRM deal, work with the Account Services team, work with billing team if/when pricing issues arise, Channels Services, Citidirect, CitiConnect, etc.)
* Handle queries on TTS products for Banker Solo designated e.g. cards, receivables, liquidity structures, trade finance products, Wordlink, security account.
* Work in partnership with Trade Implementations for the issuance and associated documentation for Guarantees/LCs.
* Provide support where necessary for the coordination of RFPs.
* Close co-ordination with KYC Operations, AML and ICG Partners on the KYC renewal and onboarding processes, with focus on supporting the firm’s goal of achieving its KYC deliverables.
* Ensure KYC and AML controls are in place for all new client requirements, through the established process and lead any control or remediation requirements relating to the produce space.
* Identify new opportunities for enhancing current structure as well as opportunities for revenue growth.

Requirements
* Fluent in the Italian language
* Ideally Bachelor’s degree in Finance or closely related areas of Business Administration
