Job Description
Breakfast Demi Chef de Rang
As a member of the Food & Beverage team, you will provide exceptional quality and service to our guests, ensuring an outstanding breakfast experience in compliance with HACCP and hotel standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide efficient, prompt, trouble-free, and courteous service by serving and setting tables.
* Accurately record, pre-check, and pick up all food and beverage orders.
* Serve guests their food and beverage promptly and courteously.
* Set tables as needed prior to guests' arrival.
* Maintain a thorough working knowledge of food and beverage menus to advise guests on selection and promote additional sales.
* Promote sales by taking opportunities to up-sell in a professional and courteous manner.
* Makes clear orders to kitchen production and to bar for beverages; registers orders according to hotel procedures.
* Cooperate with the Breakfast Maitre for set-ups and last-minute changes.
* Check the restaurant reservations list frequently during the shift.
* Ensure that own cash is secure at all times and any discrepancy is declared to the Breakfast Maitre.
* Maintain high confidentiality regarding guest privacy.
* Report all potential and real hazards appropriately to the Breakfast Maitre anticipating any possible and probable risk.
* Fully understand the hotel's fire, emergency, and bomb procedures.
* Follow emergency procedures to provide for the security and safety of guests and employees.
* Work in a safe manner that does not harm or injure self or others.
* Support a safe hotel by applying hotel regulations, and adhering to existing laws and regulations.
* Maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, appearance, body language, and conduct.
* Assist the Restaurant Manager or the Breakfast Maitre when requested.
* Attend meetings and training required by the Restaurant Supervisor.
* Continuously seek to improve professionalism in your job function.
Qualifications:
* Hotel School diploma
* Minimum 2 years' experience preferably at a high-level Restaurant/Hotel in the same role
* Guest centricity, high attention to details, problem-solving, punctuality
* Flexibility to work on morning shifts, weekends, and holidays
* Italian and English knowledge is mandatory
* Constant top-level grooming
* Constant compliance with HACCP, Hotel's hygiene standards, procedures, and code of conduct
* Ability to work efficiently also under pressure
* Legal right to work in Italy
