Summary: Mechanical Sub-System Engineer responsible for supervising and validating sub-system selection, managing sub-system development with suppliers and customers, and ensuring quality of deliverables.

A Mechanical Sub-System Engineer is in charge of:
* Supervising and validating sub-system selection in a project
* Managing sub-system development with suppliers and customers during the activity of "Product development"
The role reports directly to the Technical Team Manager (TTM) and has a close relationship with other Sub-System Engineers, Product Leaders, and Component Development Sites Engineers.
Main Responsibilities:
* Ensures that catalog product and catalogue process is fully applied in project with appropriate tools
* Prepares DR with suppliers or with TPM/TSE
* Ensures the quality of the deliverables
* Manages the technical Sub-System PSLI/RAMP
* Ensures that standard key design rules are applied
* Ensures that the Metiers tools are well applied
* Supports the sites on critical technical issues
* Reports the progress of the project and follows its work-package and budget
Tender Phase:
* Jointly with BTM and TPM/TSE/TAM fills in "Entry "connector" and issues Exit "connector."
* Defines the relevant product with gap analysis on the connector.
* Jointly with the TPM prepares the technical assessment for Business Award.
* Issues the technical description of the solution proposed to the Customer.
Contract Execution Phase:
* Assists TPM/TSE/TAM in filling in "Entry "connector" and issues Exit "connector" (Connector RSAD1).
* Confirms the product selection or not based on gap analysis.
* Confirms the catalogue product reference.
* Drives technical development of the product until GFV in close relationship with suppliers.
* May manage some R&D work packages when he is the owner of a TSS E Product/Architecture.
* Proposes yearly Sustaining Plan for the said Product or Architecture.
* Drives the plan which has been agreed for the.
* Ensures the catalogue is up to date about technical performance and quality performance.
* Collects and formalizes return of experience on solution.
Problems Solving:
Is asked by the TPM to address issues on local projects after GFV.
Main Required Competences:
* Mandatory: Master of engineering or equivalent from educational degree, completed with experience.
* Minimum 2 years' experience on product development.
* Desirable:
* Business English fluent.
* Ability to convince, to be able to switch between problem perspective to solution perspective, to challenge and to be challenged.
* Ability to work in a team and share easily work results (good communication skills and team spirit).
* Readiness to travel.
