Regional Director of Sales Sonder is on a mission to revolutionize hospitality and make a world of better stays open to all. No two Sonders are the same – each property has a bespoke design and contains a mix of rooms, suites, and apartments. Though each Sonder is unique, our mobile app allows guests to effortlessly navigate their stay. From check-in to checkout, everything they need is just a tap away. We are looking for someone who breathes hospitality operations and is energized by the opportunity to maximize, motivate, and inspire a team to deliver an amazing Sonder guest experience. Our Sonder locations are distributed across a city in different shapes, sizes, ages, and styles, and we pride ourselves on offering a hotel-like service. That’s what you’ll own. Responsibilities Develop key local growth sales strategies, tactics, action plans, and team oversight (potential for direct reports). Participate in industry organizations and community events, and develop and maintain rapport with local clients and industry peers. Nurture relationships, identify customer trends, and drive overall revenue and relationships internally & externally. Ensure that Sonder is positioned as a key supplier in the market. Leverage your experience and network to identify prospects that are an optimal fit for Sonder. Strengthen relationships with accounts/partners and collaborate to identify ways Sonder can better engage to increase revenue. Negotiate contract terms with accounts to create mutually beneficial agreements. Develop and implement marketing plans to drive performance and streamline marketing for consistent messaging. Work closely with partner teams, such as Revenue Management and City Teams, to meet managed accounts’ needs. Who We Look For 5 years successfully driving sales and nurturing existing clients in a growing service-based organization. Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field; or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience. Local or regional experience in the market is a must. Proven success as a trail-blazer with a passion for building something new in a growing organization. Self-motivated individual with business acumen to lead independently. Thorough understanding of hospitality sales processes. Incredible balance of left & right brain; extremely organized and communicative. Solid financial acumen; understands how the team’s goals support the organization’s financial goals.
