Sr. Operations ManagerRome, GAPosition Summary:The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of manufacturing operations at our facility. The Operations Manager ensures that manufacturing objectives are achieved in a timely, cost-effective manner while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Reports to the Plant Manager.Position Responsibilities:Strategic Oversight:Develop and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with company goals.Oversee the planning and execution of production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization.Operational Management:Direct and manage overall production operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.Coordinate plant activities through planning with departmental managers to achieve manufacturing objectives.Financial Management:Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, including capital expenditures, labor overtime, and operating expenses with monthly metrics.Quality and Performance:Establish and maintain quality control standards to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations. Ensure quality control at the point of production e.g. "in-line quality".Partner with Quality Assurance to implement and oversee quality assurance programs and continuous improvement initiatives.Implement and ensure adherence to SCORE procedures (Safety, Cleanliness, Organization, Responsiveness, Efficiency).Leadership and Development:Improve departmental morale through enhanced communication, follow-up, and a results-oriented team approach.Provide leadership and training to achieve company goals and objectives.Participate in corrective actions, counseling, and employment-related decisions.Continuous Improvement:Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.Shut down production lines due to quality issues and address shipping issues concerning quality defects.Safety and Compliance:Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.Promote a safe working environment and oversee safety programs and initiatives.Stakeholder Collaboration:Collaborate with other departments, such as New Model Group, Logistics, Engineering to ensure seamless operations and product delivery.Act as a key point of contact for external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or a related technical field. Advanced degree preferred.10+ years of management experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Proficiency with computers and manufacturing software.Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.Work Environment:Primarily plant environment with occasional travel as required.
