The Cash Collector (Associate Order to Cash) will report directly to the Team Manager OTC Italy and will be responsible for collections management integrated into the Italian team.
We offer a hybrid work model to be based in our offices in Milan (Sesto San Giovanni).
This role is permanent and full-time.
What will be your responsibilities?
1. Contact customers to collect outstanding debt (phone, e-mail, visits).
2. At least 20% of time will be dedicated to travelling/visiting the clients (private and public hospitals) across Italy.
3. Coordinating customer queries with the relevant departments for dispute resolution and managing the administrative needs of customers to help them pay invoices (sending account statements, dunning letters, providing copies of invoices when necessary).
4. Own a portfolio of low, medium, and high complexity accounts.
5. Allocate payments and reconcile customer accounts.
6. Follow assigned collections strategy.
7. Negotiate payment plans with customers.
8. Report the current situation, flagging any potential risks, and escalate unresolved issues to the Credit Manager for further action.
9. Cultivate strong collaborative relationships with internal customers, including Sales, Customer Service, and any other departments.
10. Resilience and assertively managing relations with clients.
11. Build a proactive relationship with the customer, continually looking for ways to improve customer satisfaction, communication, and query resolution, ensuring compliance with collection policies and procedures, quality controls, and implementation of process improvements.
What do you need to succeed in this position?
1. University degree.
2. At least 1 year of collections or cash application experience in an international environment (credit knowledge can be an asset) or internship experience.
3. Excel skills on an intermediate level & Microsoft Office.
4. Driving licence.
5. Preferably B2 level of English (intermediate).
6. Native or proficient level of Italian.
7. SAP Experience is highly valued.
8. Ability to maintain good relationships with both internal and external clients/stakeholders.
9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong customer service skills, as well as organization and prioritization skills.
