Job Summary:
The Product Specialist plays a key role in supporting the promotion and increasing the value of Werfen solutions for the business line. Within the Molecular Diagnostic Marketing team, he/she implements a specific marketing plan for the local market and guarantees continuous support for Sales Management in both pre and post-sales activities to reach company targets and objectives.
Key Accountabilities:
* Support for the launch of new products of the business line.
* Provide all necessary and up-to-date marketing information and tools (e.g., presentations, HTA tools) to the Sales department to assist in achieving business goals.
* Create and keep up to date documentation of the business line and promotional material (e.g., scientific posters, brochures, flyers).
* Consult scientific literature regarding Werfen products and competitors.
* Prepare technical documentation needed for tenders and offers.
* Design, plan, organize, and facilitate training courses and/or clinical training programs both internally (for Sales department) and externally (for Customers and End-users).
* Collect information at scientific events (congresses, seminars, symposiums) to identify and involve key opinion leaders and reinforce the value of the product and innovative scientific trends.
* In collaboration with the Communication Team, plan, organize, promote, and actively participate in scientific events sponsored by Werfen to strengthen the Werfen brand and solutions.
* Contribute to maintaining and developing a network of Key Opinion Leaders in the areas of responsibility.
* Visit customers for feedback gathering and troubleshooting of Werfen solutions.
* Manage promotional activities (e.g., demos) of Werfen solutions to Customers and potential Customers, together with the Sales force.
* In collaboration with Product Manager and Line Manager, design the most suitable solutions for complex projects in presales.
* Support Sales Specialists in the installation of new products and solutions during the launch phase.
* Collaborate in collecting data on competitors and market trends to improve product positioning and penetration.
Networking/Key relationships:
Internal: Sales - Customer Service - Tenders - Offers - Logistics - Communication & Image - Finance - Q&A.
External: Customers - End Users - Suppliers - Opinion Leaders.
Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Science, Medical Biotechnology, or related disciplines (e.g., biology, biochemistry, lab technician, etc.). Master’s or PhD in Genetics is a plus.
Significant experience in Diagnostic systems in molecular diagnostic laboratories or at least 2 years' experience in a Sales or Marketing position within an IVD company operating in an international context.
Experience in Oncology/Oncohematology will be an advantage.
Experience in NGS Target Panels on the most common NGS systems is mandatory.
Knowledge in whole exome assay is a plus.
Additional skills / knowledge:
Clinical value of an IVD test.
Knowledge of the techniques: PCR, Real Time PCR, NGS and sequencing, software.
Operating principles of diagnostic instrumentation for molecular biology.
Good laboratory practices.
Statistical knowledge.
SAP.
Office 365.
Language: Italian, native; English, level B2/C1.
