The Pantheon Iconic Rome Hotel, Autograph Collection, is currently recruiting for a Chief Engineer.Reporting to the General Manager, the candidate will manage the maintenance team, in charge for all engineering and maintenance operations, including maintaining the building and physical infrastructure, with a keen focus on safety, security, and aset protection. Holding responsibility for preventive maintenance programs and energy conservation efforts, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.Responsibilities:Distribute workload and supervises maintenance staffManage relationships with contractors and service providersMonitor equipment inventory and places orders when necessaryMonitor electrical and plumbing systems to ensure functionalityPlan and supervises all repair and installation activitiesManage maintenance records and compiles reports on daily activitiesEnsure designated buildings, facilities, and structures are fit for purpose and provides proactive support/solutions when necessaryKnow of policies and procedures for cleaning and maintaining the various areas of the property (restrooms, public areas, guest rooms, kitchens, etc.).Know of the General Cleaning and Preventative Maintenance tasks and procedures for the property.Know of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, equipment, including boilers, chillers, air handling units/controls, and refrigeration equipment.Ability to adapt to and utilize standard computer systems and tools that support ongoing operationsKnow and ability to treat and maintain water for use in primary outlets (e.g., rooms, restaurants, recreation, sewage).Establish and manage an effective rooms maintenance programHelp establish priorities for total property maintenance needsEnsure property policies and standards are administered fairly and consistentlySkills:To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills and values that follow:Over 5+ years of work experience in an equivalent position in Hospitality segment, 5* properties background will be considered as a plus.Proficiency of Italian and EnglishExcellent knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systemsAbility to track and generate digital activity reportsExperience in maintenance operation planningExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent leadership, organizational and management skillsInclination to develop and maintain strong relationships with staff membersCompetent in problem-solving, team building, planning, and decision-making processesStrong Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Internet browsers, Google Drive, etc.)To apply please send your CV to: careers@thepantheonhotel.com
