As Financial Risk you will join the Financial Risk Commercial Phase department in the Chief Financial Officer function.
The Financial Risk Commercial Phase department is responsible for identifying and analyzing the financial risks during the commercial phase of new commercial initiatives and defining appropriate instruments and measures to mitigate the relevant financial risks according to Saipem internal financial policy and procedures.
ACTIVITIES
* To support Tendering Function analyzing the financial aspects of the new commercial initiatives that Saipem is pursuing for the acquisition of projects;
* To support Tendering and Contract Management Function in the analysis of Financial contractual terms and conditions with clients and in the Cooperation agreements with partners (including the texts of corporates/bank guarantees with the support of Trade Finance Dept.);
* To assist Tendering Function in the definition of the contractual or corporate mitigation techniques for neutralizing the financial risks identified or limiting the extent of risks in accordance with the financial risk management objectives and the internal corporate procedures;
* To assist Commercial and Contract Management Functions during the contractual negotiations with clients and partners;
* To support the Commercial and Procurement Function in the Credit risk assessment of Saipem commercial counterparties (Clients, Partners and Subcontractors) through the Saipem Credit Risk Model, definition of relevant mitigation strategy and preparation of internal financial notes;
* To support Tendering Function in the identification and estimation of the financial impact/charges of the relevant financial risks attributable to the commercial initiatives through internal models (exchange rate and liquidity risk) with the support of Financial Risk Execution Phase Dept.;
* To present a risk mitigation proposal coherent financial estimates to the internal requesting function (Commercial/Tendering, Finance Business Partner, Contract Management).
Desired ProfileQUALIFICATION:
Strong academics with a Master’s Degree (or equivalent) in Economics or Law and Economics of Business;
KNOWLEDGE OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE:
Fluency in English (both written and spoken);
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
2-3 years past experience in a similar role, preferably in a multinational corporation and EPC business context on major complex projects;
HARD SKILLS
Strong analytical skills, theoretical and practical knowledge of financial risks and financial statement’s analysis;
Problem-solving ability, capable to show initiative and to have a pro-active attitude;
Proficient skills in data analytics and Microsoft Office suite, in particular strong knowledge MS Word and Excel.
SOFT SKILLS:
Adequate communication, leadership and management attitude;
