Your role and responsibilities
Part of the ABB group and operating in Italy since 1987, B&R has become one of the main technological references in the supply of automation systems, making its customers' plants more innovative, productive, safe, and qualitatively excellent. Currently, in constant growth, B&R Italia is looking for a 'Sales Specialist’ figure for its Padova (PD) branch. The desired resource will be responsible for providing technical and commercial support to loyal customers as well as acquiring new ones in the OEM sector. The resource will support customers in the implementation of B&R's innovative automation solutions, paying particular attention to motion control systems and working closely with the local application development team for the implementation of software solutions.
You are mainly accountable for:
1. Evaluates territory performance and identifies new business opportunities;
2. Develops sales and end user customer accounts using appropriate product solutions;
3. Successfully builds relationships with current customer base and provides necessary sales support;
4. Prepares and presents bids and quotations to customers using company price and delivery guidelines while using sound business judgment;
5. Advises customers on the proper selection, use, and maintenance of specific technology applications, as well as recommending training opportunities offered by the company;
6. Educates new and existing customers on B&R technology;
7. Follows up on all marketing leads and provides feedback;
8. Plans promotional events, presentations, and special projects;
9. Works with regional and corporate resources to develop and close opportunities;
10. Represents the organization in a professional, ethical, and socially responsible manner;
11. Maintains a high degree of technical knowledge to fulfill the job responsibilities.
Qualifications for the role
* Technical education in Mechatronics, Electronics and technical design;
* Previous experience in automation technology and motion systems drive sales;
* Understanding of PLCs, motion, drives, industrial PCs, distributed I/O, and HMI technologies;
* Solid application and software development experience;
* Willingness to travel;
* Excellent knowledge of both written and spoken English;
* Excellent communication skills;
* Strong customer-oriented approach;
* Highly inclined to work in a team.
