For a global company in the digital sector we are looking for a Head of Corporate Media Relations, to join the Corporate Communication and Media Relations team, within Global Commercial function; this represents a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining the public image and reputation of the organization, ensuring effective communication with the media and the public.
The objective is to increase and improve presence and influence of the Brand across the main markets, transferring the strategic storytelling over the company vision, mission, brand and product messages, optimizing their amplification across all media channels.
Main responsibilities:
1. Definition of the editorial plans for corporate storytelling, product launches and special projects;
2. Coordinate global communication plans across markets, with internal team and external partners: primary contact for media inquiries and relationships with journalists, reporters, and media channels
3. Ensure consistent and aligned messaging across all media communications.
4. Press Releases: manage writing, editing, and distribution processes of the press releases, ensuring accuracy and timely dissemination of information
5. Media Events: define and coordinate press conferences, media briefings, and interviews.
6. Partners and external PR agencies management
7. Proactive product communication plan (to amplify B2C relationship); Press trips, events.
8. Coordinate the corporate communication budget, ensuring cost-effective strategies and operations (Track and monitor media coverage, key metrics and trends).
9. Assess and manage the organization’s public perception and address any negative coverage proactively
10. Liaise with internal stakeholders for Corporate: PA/PR representatives, Executives communication, Internal communication, global functions as well as with Global Commercial for product communication.
Relevant experience and skills:
11. Relevant studies in Communication, Public Affairs or equivalent
12. Extensive experience (10-15 years) in international media relations, PR, ideally in global corporations.
13. Expertise in developing and implementing comprehensive media strategies that align with organization’s goals
14. Ability to analyze media coverage, market trends, and public perception to inform strategic decisions.
15. Extensive network in the journalism world, ability to build and manage long term relationships with journalists, media outlets, and other stakeholders (media groups/publishing groups)
16. Working knowledge in digital media and digital communication
17. Strong storytelling skills: proficiency in crafting clear, compelling, and accurate press releases, statements, and other media materials.
18. Project & Portfolio planning management
19. Crisis Management: Proficiency in developing and executing crisis communication plans to manage and mitigate negative publicity.
20. Cultural awareness and sensitivity in all media-related activities
21. Ability to work with interfunctional stakeholders and focus customer’s perspective.
22. As a global citizen, you embrace diversity and communicate fluently in English
23. Sense of responsibility, a structured and analytical way of working as well as the ability to work in a team and strong communication skills
