The British School of Casale is a well-established language institution in Casale Monferrato, in the North West of Italy. It is a dynamic and expanding school, part of the British Schools Group (AIBSE) and is a member of the board of the Association. It prides itself on its excellence in English Language Teaching and is a reference point for students and State Schools.
The town of Casale Monferrato is in Piedmont, North West Italy, an hour from Turin to the west, Milan to the east and Genoa to the south. It has a population of 38,000 people and is located on the foothills of the Monferrato,, a UNESCO Heritage Site for its winescapes. Casale was also a runner-up for the title of Italian Capital of Culture for 2020.
The school is modern and purpose-built. It has 8 classrooms, 4 offices and a staff room. We have a large area fully computerized to hold the new Cambridge Digital Exams. The school has its own LMS platform.
The British School of Casale is an authorised Cambridge English Exam Centre (IT050) for the entire suite of Cambridge Exams (from YLE to C1 to IELTS). For the purpose, the school currently has eight in-house speaking examiners. The British School courses offer learning outcomes linked to the Cambridge Exam Syllabus and provides its students with skills and competencies that can be profitably used and recognized across Europe and world-wide.
It is accredited by the Ministry of Education (MIM) for professional development courses aimed at training State School teachers. Our Life-long Learning Agency, British School FORMA, is also accredited by Regione Piemonte for non-vocational training, mostly General English language courses from A2 to B2.
Our children and teen courses are our strong point. We believe in an active and dynamic methodology applied to children's classes. This is why we work a lot with State Schools in Casale and in the nearby towns. Our teachers work throughout the year in classes starting from kindergarten straight through to higher secondary school. Our courses in state schools are financed by the PON/PNRR European funds.
The main objective of our courses is to get our students to communicate. Our teachers are encouraged to apply the best teaching strategies and to work on all skills, ranging from accurate grammar explanations to pronunciation exercises, listening and speaking practice following the Cambridge syllabus.
Regular student assessment is the foundation of our work: progress is monitored throughout the academic year and individual report cards are issued mid-year and at the end of the course.
