Job description
As a SW Control Engineer, the candidate will strongly contribute to develop demonstration boards where High Voltage Power Components will be used in several application (DC-DC converter, On Board Battery Charger, Traction Inverter) and be offered to potential customer.
The candidate responsibility over the product development is of essence and goes from product definition to final complete application test.
The candidate will design the control strategies and logics at the basis of the power train and the communication interfaces with a proper selection of microcontroller unit, developing the control SW in Model Based Design methodology, using Matlab/Simulink, integrating the control SW with the Basic SW, validating the SW on test benches as well as on the target board
Moreover, he/she strongly supports Marketing and Sales forces during the technical promotion process. For such a reason he/she’ll be continuously in contact with direct customers and distributors during product design-in phase.
Support to the design in will be exploited with both hardware and software tools.
After sales technical support will be also offered at any time.
Profile
Desired competencies are:
C/C++ expertise, Model Based Design expertise, automatic code generation, knowledge of typical embedded SW constraint management such as memory regions, compiler mechanisms, execution time and memory optimization, Versioning management of the SW design (GIT or SVN), power electronics and switching converter basic knowledge, Laboratory Instruments Usage (Oscilloscopes, bidirectional power sources, electronic loads, signal generators), Microcontroller and motor control main algorithm implementation knowledge, System architecture evolution awareness, communication bus knowledge (CAN)
