A leading company in providing holistic Electric Vehicle charging solutions in Cyprus, is looking for a Junior Systems Engineer to join their team in Nicosia. The Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing integrated systems and software solutions that facilitate the efficient operation and management of electric vehicle charging infrastructure. This self-led role requires a deep understanding of Electric Vehicle charging technologies, networking protocols, and software systems, as well as the ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and reliable solutions. 1. Collaborate with product vendors, software developers, and hardware engineers to design and architect charging systems that meet industry standards, customer requirements, and scalability needs.
2. Assist in integration of charging management software and systems, ensuring seamless communication between charging stations, backend servers, and user interfaces while ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and protocols.
3. Integrate charging systems into existing network infrastructures, ensuring secure and reliable communication between charging stations, central management systems, and user-facing applications.
4. Conduct comprehensive testing and validation of charging management systems to ensure stability, interoperability, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
5. Implement monitoring systems to identify faults in charging infrastructure, develop strategies for remote troubleshooting, and collaborate with field technicians for on-site support when necessary.
6. Address and implement robust security measures to protect charging infrastructure against potential cyber threats and ensure the privacy of user data.
7. Stay updated with the latest electronic vehicles charging technologies, trends, and industry advancements. Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve the efficiency, performance, and user experience of the charging management systems.
8. Create detailed technical documentation, including system specifications, integration guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
9. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, hardware engineering, software development, and customer support, to ensure successful product development and deployment.
10. Engage in product demonstrations and provide technical consulting to customers.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
11. University degree in electrical/electronic/systems engineering, computer science, or related field
12. Proficiency in software development and integration, API and middleware development
13. Familiarity with networking concepts, communication protocols, and cloud-based technologies.
14. At least 2 years of work experience in hardware/software engineering and integration
15. Experience in customer facing roles as well as initiating and leading meetings
16. Proficiency in English and Greek languages (verbal and written)
17. Good organizational and time management skills
18. Solid problem-solving, attention to detail and analytical and numerical skills
19. Strong team spirit as well as being self-driven
20. Ability and interest to research and learn new skills
21. Excellent knowledge of using Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint etc)
22. Understanding of agile development methodologies and project management.
