We are currently seeking a Senior Buyer, reporting directly to Purchasing Section Head to join our Sourcing & Procurement team based in Rome, Italy.
About the Job
As a member of the Fired Heater, PVHE and Steels Structures Purchasing Section, you will be responsible for the purchasing of the equipment managed by section (Furnaces, boilers, flares, stacks, reactors, columns, heat exchangers, air coolers, pressure vessels, steels structures) for the material requisitions allocated to you on our international Projects.
Under the guidance and supervision your Section Head, you will be responsible to place your purchase orders (POs) within the given budget and schedule. To ensure this, you will:
1. Prepare bidder lists adapted to the scope of supply
2. Setup and manage the enquiries in ’s purchasing tool
3. Receive bids, shortlist vendors, carry out commercial and contractual negotiations, issue Commercial Bid Tabulation (CBT) with supplier recommendation,
4. Place the PO and manage modifications / PO amendments up to PO close-out
5. Interface and collaborate with different departments including Engineering, Project, Legal, Compliance, Cost Control, Planning, Vendor Performance Management, Transportation
6. Achieve the most effective purchasing process and identify cost and schedule saving opportunities.

About You
We’d love to hear from you, and in addition to a mandatory fluency in English, here-below are our preferential requirements:
13. Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Energetic or Management)
14. Minimum experience 4 years in the purchasing function
15. Experience in contractual negotiation
