Job Scope: Develop revenue and market share from existing customers and new business, and improve business development processes.
Responsibilities:
* Assist with responses to Requests for Proposals (RFP's) and prepare presentations.
* Develop and implement sales plans and campaigns to take advantage of market opportunities.
* Prepare budgets and reports, and achieve targeted budgets.
* Build strategic relationships with customer organizations to understand opportunities for creating value.
* Capture value creation opportunities by working closely with the sales and operations management team.
* Foster cross-selling opportunities to increase revenue and leverage relationships.
* Facilitate regular meetings with clients and relevant operations staff to evaluate performance and receive updates.
* Provide marketing support and knowledge within the company for all products and services.
* Prevent action before shipping to ensure collection in the shortest time.
Qualifications/Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field is preferred. Must have 5 years of industry experience, knowledge of Microsoft, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Please note: Prior experience in a sales role within the freight forwarding industry in Italy is required.
