Key Account Manager Wholesale
The Key Account Manager Wholesale is a direct report of the Country Manager Italy, responsible for managing strategic clients and building strong long-term relationships with them. The role involves guiding business operations, defining and monitoring Joint Business Plans (JBP) with top clients to ensure company results in terms of sales and profitability.
Main Responsibilities:
* Ensures relationship with Clients and JBP Implementation
* Develops and maintains long-term solid relationships with a portfolio of strategic clients through networking activities, meetings, visits, presentations, etc.
* Acquires a thorough understanding of needs and expectations for each top client and understands the needs of their final customers.
* Formalizes a Joint Business Plan, bringing together the interests in a single vision and objectives.
* Defines an action plan to implement and follow up JBP.
* Coodinates all activities related to JBP, involving and constantly interacting with other departments of the company as well as external partners: Logistic partner, Visual, Communication, Marketing.
* Updates and analyzes sales performance (sell-out database report), and builds action plans following result analysis.
* Ensures the right service level for top clients, being an interface between the client and the company for problem solving. Ensures back-office activities.
* Presents new products to clients, makes sure that a plan for launch is implemented.
* Migrates and manages Non-EDI customers in the WHS platform.
Analyzing the Market and Sales Performance:
* Performs market research and strategical analysis (analisi di mercato) to identify strategic clients among existing ones or new ones.
* Contributes to the sales planning process and target definition for each top client and area (sales & profitability) with the Country Manager.
* Defines and implements the commercial strategy for each top client/area.
* Regularly monitors and reports on results (sales & profitability; sell-out report).
* Carrries out Gap analysis, and defines action plans, also in collaboration with top clients.
Requirements:
* 3-5 years of sales experience as Key Account Manager in FMCG companies.
* Experience in a wholesale selling model.
* Proven experience in Join business plan and conceptual selling.
* Flexibility and ability to be effective in a fast-changing environment.
* Strong proactive approach and goal-oriented.
* Analytical and time management skills.
* Strong knowledge of Excel is mandatory.
* Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
* Fluent in English is mandatory.
