MISSION : Participates in the preparation / regeneration and presentation of meals made in the kitchen assigned to them, efficiently performing their duties, always complying with the quality standards and recipes defined for each of the dishes, paying special attention to creativity, composition, seasoning and presentation to ensure the satisfaction of both guests and customers, earning their recognition and a preference for hotel food.
OPERATIONS
1. Participates with certain independence and responsibility in preparing dishes under the supervision of their immediate superior. Makes basic food preparations and any other food preparations assigned to them.
2. Prepares and/or completes dishes for which they have received appropriate training.
3. Keeps cold stores and refrigerators in their area tidy and well-organised to ensure the correct use of products.
4. Checks that they have all the equipment and products required to do their duties, managing them appropriately to avoid waste and any losses.
5. Performs all the duties assigned by their immediate superior in an efficient and timely manner, complying with all the defined specifications and procedures.
6. Handles all operating equipment with extreme caution during transportation to avoid accidents, spillage or breakages, complying at all times with safety regulations.
7. Complies with cleanliness and hygiene procedures and standards in the performance of their work, ensuring the quality and reliability of the dishes prepared.
8. Ensures that the products used in preparations meet the quality, quantity and performance standards, reporting any anomaly or defects to their immediate superior.
9. Immediately informs their superior of any issues that occur during their work that may affect service.
10. Implements all the instructions and work assigned to them by their immediate superior as well as the responsibilities the position requires.
11. Complies with the HACCP criteria defined by the company.
CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE
12. Be knowledgeable of the Brand philosophy and comply with the standards, operational and identity manuals that apply to their department.
13. Ensure the customer's experience and personalise their stay, anticipating their needs and exceeding their expectations.
14. Deal with customer incidents, communicating the actions taken to the person in charge. Escalate the incident to the person in charge if a solution cannot be found.
15. Be knowledgeable of the Voice of the Customer goals and to execute the necessary actions to achieve them.
16. Support their manager with the Sensory Architecture established for their areas.
17. Be knowledgeable and promote the hotel’s services and facilities as well as the entertainment programme, experiences and events.
HEALTH & SAFETY// HEALTHY WORKPLACE
18. Be knowledgeable of the hotel’s evacuation plan.
19. Be knowledgeable of the personal protective equipment and use it correctly.
20. Be knowledgeable of the methods, work procedures and risks inherent to their activity.
21. Assume the responsibilities assigned in the Occupational Health and Safety Management System Manual.
REQUIREMENTS
22. University degree and/or higher qualification in Tourism; training in Gastronomy/Culinary arts
23. Local language (depending on the geographical location of the property) and advanced English.
24. Knowledge of cutting, trimming, handling and manipulation of whole pieces of meat.
25. Knowledge of food handling, hygiene and food safety.
26. Keeping up to date with kitchen trends
27. Proficient in Office package and tools related to the position.
28. Knowledge of hotel operations
Minimum 1 year experience in a similar position in 4 and 5* hotels
