As Financial Risk professional, you will join the Financial Risk Commercial Phase department within the Chief Financial Officer function.
The Financial Risk Commercial Phase department identifies and analyzes financial risks during the commercial phase of new initiatives and defines measures to mitigate these risks according to Saipem's internal financial policy and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
To support Tendering Function by analyzing the financial aspects of new commercial initiatives that Saipem pursues for project acquisition.
To support Tendering and Contract Management Function in analyzing financial contractual terms and conditions with clients and cooperation agreements with partners.
To assist Tendering Function in defining contractual or corporate mitigation techniques to neutralize or limit financial risks in accordance with financial risk management objectives and internal procedures.
To assist Commercial and Contract Management Functions during contractual negotiations with clients and partners.
To support the Commercial and Procurement Function in credit risk assessment of Saipem's commercial counterparties (clients, partners, and subcontractors) using the Saipem Credit Risk Model.
To identify and estimate the financial impact/charges of relevant financial risks attributable to commercial initiatives using internal models (exchange rate and liquidity risk).
To present a risk mitigation proposal with coherent financial estimates to the internal requesting function (Commercial/Tendering, Finance Business Partner, Contract Management).
Desired Profile:
A strong academic background with a Master's Degree in Economics or Law and Economics of Business.
Fluency in English (written and spoken).
2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a multinational corporation and EPC business context on major complex projects.
Strong analytical skills, theoretical and practical knowledge of financial risks and financial statement analysis.
Problem-solving ability, initiative, and proactive attitude.
Proficient skills in data analytics and Microsoft Office suite, particularly MS Word and Excel.
Adequate communication, leadership, and management attitude.
