Telespazio is a joint venture between Leonardo (67%) and Thales (33%) and one of the world’s biggest suppliers of satellite solutions and services. The company teams up with Thales Alenia Space to form the parent companies’ Space Alliance, a strategic partnership which offers a complete range of space services.

Main tasks and responsibilities:
The RF Systems Engineer will be integrated in the Teleport and Ground Infrastructures Engineering department, with the main objective of supporting RF Systems and Antenna design, procurement, installation, integration and test in the designated Ground Station facility.
This includes in particular:
1. Preliminary Design based on high level requirements, usually executed in the bid phase in order to contribute to the Technical, Management and Financial proposal, when applicable
2. Detailed Design, to develop detailed requirements and define the system architecture, including specifications for the procurement of the required subsystems and services
3. Technical management of the Procurement process, including factory and on-site test as applicable
4. Integration of the subsystems in the overall system architecture, development and execution of system, end-to-end and onsite tests
5. Development of all relevant documentation (design documents, test plans and procedures, reports)
6. Project Management, including budgeted cost and schedule control
Required qualification and experience:
An experience of at least 5 years in Antenna/Ground Stations equipment and subsystem design is required.
Second Level Master’s degree in Electronic/Telecommunication Engineering

Knowledge of Satellite Missions, Satellite Control Techniques, Monitoring and Control Protocols, Antenna Measurements and ECSS Standards is appreciated.
Job position
The job will be based in Rome Telespazio Headquarters.
Availability to travel, not limited to Telespazio Teleports but also including worldwide destinations for limited period of times, is required.
