Job Introduction

Main Responsibilities
As System Administrator you will be responsible for:
6. Perform installation, administration and management of operating systems and/or properly configure software on servers (e.g. install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and resolve software related problems).
7. Administration and operation of cloud environment (OpenStack, VMWare, Kubernetes).
8. Administration and operation of DevOps environment.
9. Plan and perform appropriate procedures, documentation, inventory assessment, and other procedures related to systems management.
10. Monitor of operated/administered environment
11. Make recommendations relevant to system security, computer system performance, disk and other components utilization.
12. Monitor systems and applications performances to track operating efficiency.
13. Test and implement technical solutions and provide strong operational support on virtualization architectures.
14. Work with team to automate management tasks, streamline processes and perform standard administration functions as needed.
15. Conduct software and hardware evaluations, provide technical analysis and implement systems to meet Customer’s IT goals.
16. Report status and flags issues, especially in a proactive manner.
17. Participate to the On-Call service.
Successful Candidate
Technical skills:
18. Expert on Linux (RedHat based distributions, e.g. Centos, Red Hat) installation/administration and tuning
19. Independent knowledge of Linux automation/devops (e.g. scripting, ansible, python..).
20. Independent knowledge of Kubernetes
21. Independent knowledge of GitLab, Rancher, Prometheus, Harbor, Helm and Velero
22. Independent knowledge of Traefik and MetalLB
23. Independent knowledge of Grafana
Is an asset:
24. Knowledge of VMWare virtual environment
25. Knowledge of VMware automation (e.g. scripting reporting and deployments).
26. Knowledge of Openstack infrastructure
27. Knowledge of network management, firewall and security
28. Knowledge of databases (Oracle/Mysql/Postgres)
29. Relevant certifications in the relevant technologies are a strong asset.
30. Good understanding of ITIL practices and processes
Personal skill
31. Good written and oral command of English (B1)
32. Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in team working are mandatory.
33. Capacity of achieving schedule and milestones.
34. Capacity of working under pressure.
Knowledge and Experience
35. At least a Secondary school diploma
36. At least 2 year of proven experience in the field of cloud and DEvOps or having participated to specific master/training on the relevant field
37. Is an asset having matured experience/supported/worked on data center and complex IT environments and/or setting up Virtual environments both on Physical and Cloud Platforms.
