Job Title: Area Manager - Surgical Vision Team
The Johnson & Johnson Surgical Vision team is seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead our efforts in North Italy.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving growth across our Surgical Vision portfolio with sustainable profitability. He/She will supervise a team of Field Representatives and contribute to building Business Plans, Strategy reviews, and ensuring proper implementation in the field.
Main Responsibilities:
* Delivers commercial targets (sales, market share, etc.) with new and established medical and professional accounts compliantly with all external regulations, HCC procedures, and any policy and procedure relevant for the role.
* Supports the achievement of profitability targets.
* Executes the commercial plan.
* Reaches Commercial Excellence and Operational KPIs and targets.
* DIRECTLY MANAGES KEY OPINION LEADERS IN THE ASSIGNED TERRITORY.
* Reaches Tender success targets by implementing successful value creation strategies and tactics.
Main Activities:
* Manages a team of Field representatives.
* Develops a commercial plan to achieve business targets.
* Reports sales results against forecasts to senior management and proposes corrective actions and plans to ensure objectives are met.
* Defines Market Access Strategies and co-creates with the MA Team value-creation initiatives.
* Leads multistakeholder (external and internal) complex negotiations.
* Establishes incentive plan parameters and sales goals.
* Develops and monitors departmental budget.
* Ensures expenses stay within budget.
* Contributes to the preparation of commercial plans and campaigns, business plans, and product development plans.
* Resolves conflicts, problems, and customer complaints.
* DIRECTLY MANAGES NATIONAL KEY ACCOUNTS WHEN REQUESTED.
* Monitors and ensures that CommEx KPIs are reached. Interacts with CommEx team on continuous improvement initiatives.
* Ensures that his/her team is properly trained and cooperates with the training department in addressing team needs.
Requirements:
* University degree, preferably in Life Sciences, Engineering, or Business Administration.
* At least 7 years of working experience, with a minimum of 5 years experience in team management.
* At least 3-5 years of experience in developing business-to-business relationships at a senior level.
* Fluent in English and Italian.
* Ability to navigate and network in a matrix organization.
* Successful track record in managing and negotiating contracts.
* Knowledge of the Healthcare System.
* Understanding of health economic principles and market access.
