As a Senior Brand Specialist/Account Manager, you would be a part of Amazon Vendor Services (AVS) Team of Retail Business Services. You will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy for managing Amazon AVS vendors.
The AVS team is looking for a bright, customer-centric, driven, and creative candidate to join our team. You will interface internally with leaders from our Retail and Vendor Services teams and will be responsible for all aspects of the vendor’s business with Amazon. You will engage directly with multiple internal teams to optimize the product line for key manufacturers (vendors) on Amazon.
You will utilize a wide range of skills and work across major functional areas such as site merchandising, buying, inventory management, finance, operations, and online marketing, to drive the performance of strategic vendor partners at Amazon. In this role, you will focus on the operational aspects of managing the customer relationships with our vendors, which are complex in nature.
You will conceive, create, and analyze a wide range of marketing activities/campaigns to grow the vendor’s traffic, brand awareness, customer conversion, and revenue on Amazon. Additionally, you will look into operational aspects of the vendor’s business with Amazon, conducting root cause analysis of issues and opportunities affecting business.
Key Job Responsibilities
* Establish long-term partnerships with key vendor partners for the group of vendors handled.
* Partner with the Retail Category Team to build successful communication channels at all levels, set proper expectations, provide clear status communications, and manage towards a growth plan for the vendors.
* Build and execute on a joint business plan that delivers on key business opportunities and relevant KPIs for the vendors and Amazon.
* Conduct deep dive analysis on vendor issues and publish recommendations and action plans based on data to improve vendor experience.
* Success will be measured by the performance of your vendors on input metrics and impact on creating a great customer experience for buying consumers.
* Conduct regular WBRs and MBRs with the vendors, highlighting business metric performance and building action plans.
A day in the life: Please note that this role is in Romania and relocation to Romania will be required.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English (C1) and German (B2+, C1 preferred).
* 3-4 years of Account Management/Vendor Management experience.
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with different functional groups including senior business leaders, finance, HR, and developers.
* Proven track record of delivering results through others in an ambiguous, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment.
* Previous experience in managing large-scale projects end-to-end with large teams involved.
* Advanced knowledge in MS Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Bachelor's degree or certificate of completion of studies required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* 5+ years of Account Management/Vendor Management experience.
* Experience managing large data sets and utilizing them to drive performance and process improvements.
* Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development.
* Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership.
* Advanced negotiation skills.
* Master’s degree preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a similar program.
