Junior Woman Leathergoods Designer (Fixed Term Contract)
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Junior Designer for Women's Leathergoods with a strong understanding of leathergoods technicalities, particularly in construction and product development. The ideal candidate will have an eye for the latest trends in the category and the ability to create original, marketable products.
This role will be part of the Women Accessories Design Team based in Rome.
Job Responsibilities
* Creative Vision: Support the development of new collections from initial creative inputs, including researching seasonal trends and exploring new material options.
* Graphic Design: Provide technical graphic design support using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to refine material elements, create color variations, and produce digital placements and renderings.
* Technical Expertise: Ensure designs are accurately represented and ready for production, leveraging on the knowledge of leathergoods construction and manufacturing.
* Collection Development: Collaborate with product development teams to meet cost and margin targets while maintaining aesthetic appeal and environmental sustainability. Demonstrate determination and multi-tasking abilities to meet timelines and quality standards.
* Collaboration and Communication: Engage actively with colleagues, suppliers, and external partners with a positive and confident attitude. Participate in meetings and assist in coordinating activities related to the collection's development.
Profile
* Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience as Leathergoods Designer within the luxury industry. Strong interest in LG construction and materials.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Suite and excellent hand sketching skills.
* Organizational Skills: Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
* Trend Awareness: Proactive in researching the latest trends and identifying cool, niche ideas.
* Language Proficiency: Proficiency in spoken and written Italian and good command of English is crucial for effective communication within the organization.
