Job Summary
The Regional Sales Manager will have the opportunity to make a significant impact and drive incremental growth for our Environmental & Process Monitoring business in South- and East Europe. The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with direct and indirect customers to create and maintain a healthy pipeline of sales opportunities, developing and maintaining Go-To-Market plans for the region, understanding major competitors, and being creative in finding ways to close deals.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 per year
Location: Italy (preferred), Spain, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic or Poland
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with direct and indirect customers to create and maintain a healthy pipeline of sales opportunities
* Develop and maintain Go-To-Market plans for the region in close collaboration with the local Channel Manager
* Understand the strengths and vulnerabilities of major competitors and develop sales strategies to respond effectively
* Be creative in finding ways to close deals based on a 'must-win' mentality
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree, advanced degrees preferred
* 5+ years of sales experience with a documented track record of success
* 2+ years of experience as an indirect people and/or distribution manager
* Must have sold capital pieces of equipment
* Ability to travel 50%+ across the assigned territory
* Strong technical knowledge of the chemical and/or environmental industry and experience selling in those markets
* Self-starter and able to work on your own
* Ability to prospect new business and have that 'hunter' attitude
* Strong communication skills – orally and written in English
* Strong organizational and time management skills
