As the Business Development Manager, you will support the establishment and development of relationships with prospective clients in Italy. Your role will involve creating meaningful connections at various levels within financial institutions and engaging with other influencers in the business. You will be the primary point of contact, keeping clients informed about Fiserv’s offerings, global payment innovations, and identifying new opportunities tailored to their needs.
What will you do:
* Assist in building a strong pipeline of new opportunities with financial institutions (card issuers) in Italy to promote Fiserv products, particularly our Issuer processing solutions.
* Participate in business and technology presentations/pitches, supporting the RFx processes and other prospecting activities.
* Collaborate with various Fiserv teams to help create optimal technical and commercial proposals for prospective clients.
* Support commercial and contract negotiations with prospective clients and internal stakeholders throughout the process.
* Foster relationships with key industry participants, including advisory and IT consulting firms, card schemes and domestic processors
* Stay informed about industry trends and the competitive landscape to assist internal teams and prospective clients effectively.
What you will need to have:
* Relevant experience in sales, business development, or product roles within the financial services industry is preferred, especially in the cards space.
* A proactive, results-oriented mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric attitude focused on building long-term client relationships.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish trust with internal teams and prospective clients while managing clear stakeholder plans.
* A track record of successfully contributing to sales targets, alongside good organizational abilities.
