The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Account Manager to join our Sales Team in Rome. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in our growth by discovering the best and most popular things to do in travel destinations.
Your Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with larger, more complex accounts.
* Identify and lead growth initiatives with top accounts, from idea generation to implementation and project management to success tracking and reporting.
* Leverage internal cross-functional partners where appropriate.
* Independently resolve technical issues to maintain high performance.
* Pitch and win defined opportunities such as bringing online new activities, increasing availability, and negotiating commission increases.
* Solve customer and supplier issues such as maintaining a low cancellation rate and troubleshooting connectivity problems.
* Review activity performance, provide regular reports and insights, and proactively share opportunities for improvements to make your accounts successful.
* Represent us at relevant regional events and conferences and in the markets you manage.
Requirements:
* 3-5 years experience in Sales or Account Management, with a proven track record of handling large and complex accounts.
* Travel tech or OTA industry experience is a plus.
* You thrive in meeting and exceeding your aggressive sales targets.
* Excellent relationship-building, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, influencing internal decision-makers across all functions.
* Results-focused with key prioritization skills and a strategic mindset.
* Strong in data analysis and reporting.
* Passionate about travelling and getting out to your markets, visiting our local partners, and discovering new opportunities.
* Solid understanding of the SRS and Channel Manager landscape.
* Italian at a native level or full working proficiency, and English with full working proficiency, is required.
