Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager
We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our sales efforts in the surgical sutures and endo mechanical devices market.
The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of experience in sales, with a background in medical devices and a strong understanding of the market trends.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute a sales strategy through market analysis
* Support the learning and development of the sales team
* Coordinate with sales representatives to generate and meet with prospective leads
* Track and report all sales activities
* Manage a team of senior executives, supporting their development plans and engaging in open and honest conversations
* Create and implement plans for conducting promotional activities, develop CRM strategy, and ensure effective execution of marketing strategies
* Map the potential of the territory, relate it to market trends, and monitor competitors' activities
* Profile and assess potential, prepare target lists, and enlist new doctors as per business requirements
* Collaborate with government sales teams to ensure product availability and demand generation at different institutions
* Build consistent, long-term relationships with Key Opinion Leaders/Business leaders through scientific engagements and effective coverage
* Follow up with customers to resolve any issues and ensure satisfaction; collaborate with other departments for timely resolutions.
Requirements:
* Relevant product experience in surgical sutures, wound closure products, internal staplers, hernia mesh, and biosurgery
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, preferably in Life Sciences or Biotechnology
* Minimum of 5 years of relevant medical device sales experience
* Excellent decision-making and strong financial management skills
* Fluency in written and verbal communication skills in regional language. Intermediate level of English.
* Willingness to travel with occasional overnight stay(s) according to business needs.
