Electrical Designer - Schematics Design - Rail Industry
Quest Global, a leading engineering services company, is strengthening its Railway Division by recruiting an Electrical Designer.
Role Overview
The selected candidate will be part of a team responsible for providing technical support to electrical design activities on board trains. Their main task will be to design functional schematics of railway vehicles.
Responsibilities
* Analysing electrical architectures (AT, MT, BT) and schematic diagrams of pure principle (PPS)
* Designing in E3S the electrical schemes (CPS) of a train installation/function from the principle schematics and system interfaces
* Designing in E3S the electrical architectures, creating synoptics for defining harnesses based on system interfaces and mechanical layouts
* Defining cable sections and related protections (fuses/circuit breakers) based on system data and in accordance with railway regulations (e.g., EN50343)
* Defining electrical components (relays, contactors, selectors, cables, connectors, etc.) in accordance with the required application and the customer's Preferred Part List (PPL)
* Electrical cubicle design in collaboration with Electrical Routing
Requirements
* Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Automation
* Experience, even brief, in a similar role. Any experience in the rail industry will be considered a preferred requirement
* Knowledge and ability to use electrical design tools
* Strong interest in professional development in the rail industry
* Good command of the English language
