You will be joining a young and dynamic team of approximately 130 people across Europe, of which 15 are based in the Italy.
Profile
We are looking for a Technical Sales Executive to become part of the European feed team based in our Milan Office, Italy. As a Technical Sales Executive, you will be responsible for supporting and growing our sales of feed supplements, bypass fats and vegetable oils to feed mills, premix manufacturers and farms in Italy. You will join a young and dynamic team with a clear strategy and ambition to grow GAR’s presence in the animal feed sector. You will create, manage and grow your own portfolio of clients. For your success, it’s key to develop a good understanding of the nutritional customer needs and grow your technical skills and expertise to ensure a competitive edge. As our eyes and ears to the market your market information will be used by our nutritional and technical team to further develop and align our product offer to the market.
Main duties and responsibilities
* Grow sales of our feed supplements to feed mills
* Focus on expanding the portfolio of Premix manufacturers and farms in Italy
* Build and maintain outstanding customer relationships
* Send daily prices to our customer and target to expand our feed footprint
* Ensure we are present in all relevant fairs and stands
* Help on the marketing campaign for GAR to be close to the Italian market
* Bring GAR to the next level and ensure that GAR is being linked with the best opinion leader and veterinarian of the sector
* Manage and report trading risks
* Maintain demand grids and SnD
* Follow up on the logistics and delivery and support the customer service team with inquiries
* Actively support our logistics team in delivering on time and in full
* Develop a good understanding of key nutritional customer needs and important market trends
* Pro-actively share market knowledge and best practices to the technical & commercial team.
* Propose and implement commercial initiatives
* Liaise with counterparties on Contract’s terms and conditions, verifying payments and coordinating claims
* Liaise with local trade execution team and finance team on all relevant topics for an accurate recording of sales and purchases
* Support on the admin, contracting, and operational support.
Job requirements
* Master’s degree in life sciences, economics, business or the like. A degree in Animal production and nutrition, Veterinary medicine, Agricultural engineering or equivalent is valued
* Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in sales of nutritional products in the animal feed industry, preferably working with feed additives in the ruminants and/or monogastric segment
* MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
